About the Author - James M. Thompson

James M. Thompson in Goldthwaite, Texas, creates interesting horror books for everyone's entertainment; he began writing exactly two decades ago. Back when he was a ghostwriter, he wrote 25 books for a famous author. Riding for the Brand was the first published book under his name.
Born and bred in Houston, Texas, he attended schooling near there. He attended Tulane University on a baseball scholarship, and after graduating from the University of Texas in 1967, he got his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1971. He practiced medicine in Corpus Christi, Texas, as a family doctor and surgeon.
Current Life
Today, he spends his days with his wife, Terri, and four terriers. They have six male children who are living in Texas and Arkansas. James juggles his time between Ruidoso, New Mexico and North Bridgton, Maine. To further hone his skills, he attends writing conferences and uses personal experience to come up with ideas.

Love for Writing
After retiring from medicine in 2000, he decided to write full time. He consulted with fellow writers on how to get published. Writing about one book per year, he has more than 30 books to date. His Western novels are under the name J.M. Thompson, while his horror and medical thrillers are under James M. Thompson.
